Merge had new investors and a new vision for the company going forward.
Merge Design + Interactive was acquired in 2017 by a group of advertising agencies and then had a change in ownership in January of 2019. I was a part of these transitions, leading the design through two company rebranding efforts. Shown here is the most recent rebrand which launched in July 2019.
Our first rebrand, though we presented some edgier directions, played it safe. For this recent rebrand we we able to push the design to feel more tech forward, premium, and exciting. Black, white, and green are the primary palette colors, with a touch of gradient placed here and there. The typography is big and bold while also feeling simple and modern. The website showcases the agencies work through large, beautiful photography, video and graphics, while subtle animations and transitions elevate the experience.
